The International Metrology Congress unveils its Programme and opens Registration
In an industrial world undergoing profound change, where data is king and precision is an imperative, metrology plays a discreet yet central role. It validates innovations, certifies products and guarantees trust in industrial exchanges on a global scale.
To highlight these challenges and bring together the professionals addressing them, Global Industrie Lyon will host the 4th edition of the International Metrology Congress (CIM) and its Metrology Village from 15 to 18 March 2027, alongside the exhibition at Eurexpo Lyon.
4 Days to Measure the Future: discover the programme
Certifying an AI model, qualifying a quantum computer, justifying a regulatory decision, meeting the needs of a defence sector that is reinventing itself: these topics do not belong to the historical scope of metrology, and yet they all stumble on the same question: what are we measuring, and with what level of confidence? Industry, institutions and regulators are now turning to metrologists to obtain what no one else can provide: a reference, traceability, a controlled uncertainty. This is the shift that CIM2027 puts in the spotlight, offering the ideal setting to turn these requirements into concrete solutions. On the programme:
200 oral and poster presentations
5 round tables:
Metrology for Quantum Computing
How can metrology meet the needs of the "New Defence"?
Is ISO 10012:2026 a new deal for Industrial Metrology?
Metrology meets AI: confidence in the Age of Prediction
Metrology for evidence-based Policy Making
A plenary session on digitalisation, climate and quantum
A workshop on metrology for quantum technologies
A short course on food metrology: from Farm to Fork
Plenty of networking opportunities (coffee breaks, welcome aperitif, Gala evening...) and, of course, the iconic Metrology Village in partnership with the CFM.

A Metrology Village in partnership with the CFM, running alongside the Congress
At the heart of Global Industrie and within the “Measurement, Control, Vision & Instrumentation” area, the Metrology Village powered by CFM will bring together the leading experts in high-performance and high-precision measurement technologies.
The Village showcases solutions, innovations and expertise dedicated to industrial measurement. It provides a unique meeting place where industry and science converge, offering exhibitors visibility among a highly qualified international audience of metrologists, researchers, engineers and industrial decision-makers.
The Metrology Village will also serve as the central networking hub of the International Metrology Congress, with congress coffee breaks, networking sessions and catering services taking place directly within the exhibition area.
To further enhance interactions, a dedicated pitch area will allow exhibitors to present their latest innovations and expertise, while a welcome reception will encourage networking opportunities and foster new collaborations in a friendly and engaging environment.
